- werkregie PR#68: one logo per tool in the connection bar, a menu names its sources.
Problem
Since PR#68, a logo in the connection bar stands for all sources of its tool and shows one status dot, the worst state. The bar does not show whether a logo stands for one source or for several, nor whether all of them failed or only some.
Non-Goals
- No count of the sources; the menu names them.
- No more than two dots, however many sources a logo has.
Specification
Feature: two dots for a logo of several sources
Scenario#73.01: a logo of one source shows one dot
… so that a single source looks as before.
- Given Taiga with one source, connected
- When the overview shows the connection bar
- Then the logo of Taiga shows one dot in the state "connected"
Verified by
- manual check in the browser, see "Solution"
Scenario#73.02: a logo of several sources shows two dots
… so that the user sees that the menu holds more than one source.
- Given Werkator javagil and Werkator vm4006, both connected
- When the overview shows the connection bar
- Then the logo of Werkator shows two overlapping dots, both in the state "connected"
Verified by
- manual check in the browser, see "Solution"
Scenario#73.03: the two dots show whether some or all sources failed
… so that a partial failure differs from a total one without opening the menu.
- Given three relays that report Claude Code, one of them silent
- When the overview shows the connection bar
- Then the front dot of the logo of Claude Code shows the error state, the back dot the state "connected"
Verified by
- manual check in the browser, see "Solution"
Solution
- A logo of several sources shows two overlapping dots: in front the worst state of its sources, behind the best one. So two petrol dots mean all connected, clay before petrol some failed, two clay dots all failed. A source that is connected with a warning shows an amber ring, e.g. in front of a petrol dot.
- A logo of one source shows one dot, as before.
- The repository has no tests of the page. A local check in the browser with the user's own configuration, two Werkators and two Giteas, and relays added in the browser, showed: one clay dot for Matrix with one source, two petrol dots for Werkator and Gitea with two sources each, and clay before petrol for Claude Code and Codex, each with one silent relay of two.
