# PR#81: The Demo Shows the Merge Chart Version: patch > **WARNING:** This document describes only the change applied in this PR. > It may already be outdated once the next PR is merged. > Historic PR documentation is not maintained along with new PRs; treat it as a snapshot. ## Related Links - [werkregie PR#78](https://git.javagil.de/mi/werkregie/pulls/78) and [werkregie PR#80](https://git.javagil.de/mi/werkregie/pulls/80): the merge chart, with pull requests and changed lines. ## Problem A visitor without the access token sees the demo; it has no merges, so the merge chart is missing there. Werkregie PR#78 deferred this, as `Demo.snapshot` was above a Mutation-CRAP of 15; werkregie PR#77 split it since. ## Non-Goals - No real merges in the demo; the authors and their merges are invented. ## Specification ### Feature: the demo shows the merge chart #### Scenario#81.01: the demo shows invented merges of a developer and of a coding agent … so that a visitor sees what the merge chart shows. - **Given** a visitor without the access token - **When** the visitor opens the dashboard - **Then** the merge chart of the Gitea "acme" shows a year of merges of "anna" and the last 8 weeks of merges of "coding-agent", with their changed lines ##### Verified by - [DemoTest "the demo's Gitea merges a year of a developer and 8 weeks of a coding agent, oldest first"](../../dashboard/src/test/kotlin/de/hoennig/werkregie/dashboard/DemoTest.kt) - manual check in the browser, see "Solution" ## Solution - `Demo.merges` invents the merges by formula, so that the demo stays the same for each visitor: "anna" merges on two of three days of the last year, "coding-agent" 2 to 8 times a day in the last 8 weeks, each merge with 40 to 399 changed lines. On 2026-10-14, a local server without the access token showed the demo with the merge tile of "Gitea acme": 30 merges of "anna" and 149 of "coding-agent" in the last 30 days, stacked, with mean and median of the lines. ## Release Notes The public demo shows the merge chart, with invented merges of a developer and of a coding agent. ## Open Questions None.
